So, a little about me, huh?
Well…my wife and I have been married over 26 years and we have four adult kids. We’ve lived in many different places and have had the opportunity to visit many others.
I am a former missionary, former adjunct Religion professor, ordained pastor and endorsed chaplain who has worn many hats (hence the name of the website):
–I LOVE being the Chaplain of my own home…husbandhood (when in doubt…make up a word) and fatherhood are my passions!
–I TREASURED my time as a Hospital/Hospice Chaplain. It was there, God broke me and showed me who I really am versus who He wants me to be. SO many stories of brokenness in places I never thought God would be…turns out I was very wrong.
–I WILL NEVER FORGET my time as an Education Chaplain for 2 international schools. The kids will forever possess a piece of my heart…God has used them and their unique outlook on life time and time again to keep my spiritual perspective from becoming skeptical and calloused.
–I THOROUGHLY ENJOY my current adventures as a Pastor/Community Chaplain serving almost 300 children from 1 yr old to 8th grade and their families. Forever a student myself, I have learned many spiritual things in the rough and tumble world of our younger generations.
I am currently a PhD student working to complete a dissertation re: Artificial Intelligence and its growing impact on our most recent generation of children.
BONUS: I am a heavy metal music kind of guy (Skillet, Demon Hunter, TFK, Fight the Fury, and Red) and when I can sneak away, I love to workout, read, play acoustic guitar and thrash on the drums. 🙂
There.
How was that?
